Dr. Rev. Quantriay Eugene Kirt is from Louisiana/Houston.  “Q” as he is affectionately known by many, is the first born of two children.  Quan’s mother, reared him to fear God and love all that passed his way.  He learned what hard work was all about while he watched his mother work two and sometimes three jobs to make sure him and his little brother had food on the table and clothes on their backs.

Before graduating from high school, Quan held a few jobs.  After graduating from high school, he began his college days here in the heart of  Houston, TX.  It is there that he met the love of his life and his college sweetheart.

Quantriay E. and Anthalone S. Kirt were married and have been together ever since.  To hear his wife tell the story, it was his jokes and warm personality that won her over.  After 20+ years of marriage, he’s still able to make her laugh like he did when they first met.

Now with a family to support, Quan decided that it was time to get his degree and a full time steady job.  He knew that God had a calling on his life; he just didn’t know what it was.  He enrolled in MTI and furthered his education while receiving his Associates degree in Computer Technology.  Although he tried to run from his calling, he enrolled again and went to College of Biblical Studies where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Leadership.  He knew then that God had truly called him into the Ministry to preach and teach the Word of God.  He was ordained by Dr. Thornton in 2003.  On December 31, 2006, he received his license to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ by Dr. D. Z. Cofield.  Quan continued his educational career and finally received his Master’s degree in Divinity from B.H Carroll Theological Institute in 2013 in Arlington, TX.

In 2003, Rev. Kirt started, facilitated and pastored his own bible study for over (4) four years while teaching Sunday school at Good Hope MBC in Houston, TX for over (5) five years.

In 2008, he and his wife wrote their first non – fiction book entitled, “The Danger of False Doctrine:  A One Man Wrecking Crew” speaking about their life in a former church that almost damaged and destroyed them to the point of no return.  By the grace of God, they both, hand-in-hand, fought back to reclaim their love and devotion to God, dignity, love for each other and most importantly, their family.

One would have thought that Quan would be content.  Needless to say, he wasn’t.  He went on his first missionary trip to Guatemala with SouthPoint Fellowship Church in 2011.

In 2013, he traveled to Oxford, England to take a class in Expository and Effective Preaching in preparation to start his Doctoral degree. In June of 2016 and after much studying, Dr. Q. Kirt received his Doctoral degree of Theology in Religious Education.

In his spare time, he loves to read, go running, tell jokes, go to the movies, enjoy family time and travel alongside his wife and children.
